This policy explains what information Site Your Story collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Who we are

Site Your Story (“we”, “us”) operates siteyourstory.com. Site Your Story is the data controller for anything you send through this website. You can reach us about anything on this page at clients@siteyourstory.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into the contact form and send to us:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Whether you have an existing website, and its address if you give it
• What your business does, and anything else you choose to tell us

We do not run analytics on this site, we do not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build a profile of you. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry and, if you want one, to prepare the free mockup we offer. That is the only purpose. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you choose to send the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services.

Who else sees it

Nobody, other than the people at Site Your Story who need it to answer you. We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing. We may be required to disclose information if the law compels it.

Third-party services this site uses

The site loads two things from outside our own servers. Both receive your IP address as an unavoidable part of serving a file over the internet:

• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used across the site.
• jsDelivr — serves the animation libraries that drive the page's motion.

Neither is used by us to identify you. If you would rather these were not loaded from third parties at all, both can be self-hosted — ask us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we are in conversation with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, write to clients@siteyourstory.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the data protection authority for your country.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
